Honestly I think Main needs a jumpstart. Maybe guaranteeing like 20k scrap on Genesis for an event participation on Main or something of the nature. It’s a very if you building it they will come scenario, if you entice active Genesis players to play on main with Genesis incentives (scrap, exotics, a few loot boxes), they may start to split their time between the two. Once you have people on Main get cool exotics from normal gameplay, see that their friends are playing on Main, and enjoy their time there, it’ll likely build itself up.

Doing regular events could help breath some temporary life into it, and content updates beyond that point would very much so help with keeping that ball of life rolling.

Also making a discord role for people to ping when they wanna play main (an optional role of course) could help some

Idea 2: Make it possible to transfer guns from one server to the other, this is a very broad and probably cant even be done idea but it’s an idea nonetheless, not sure if its possible nor if anyone can even be bothered to work on it but potentially the ability to transfer a gun from genesis to main or from main to genesis if you meet certain requirements so for example 100 kills with the gun or 50 D kills with the gun etc

I actually very much so agree with this idea. Obviously it could be dangerous, but as long as you make it a pure port and not a port with attachments it could be fine. I would recommend probably making these guns not tradeable to avoid destroying the shitty economy on genesis.

I actually don’t know how to revive main, except just playing on it.
Mostly when people are on main, it’s old veterans trying out new stuff or just bombing the server with communism.
When I’m on, I try to stay away from my most OP guns, like the mp5, cause it rips through the server when I’m T, and newer players will simply think it’s a waste of time even trying.

Another thing: I remember not being able to even find main on the server list of TTT in gmod.
Some enhanced visibility if at all possible?

Generally I think main is pretty popular its just people are never on it and people are always on genesis. Plus a lot of people dont know about main as much because genesis is still the shiny ‘new’ server and so newer Hmod people are reluctant to go to main as they have no inven, and will get hammered by the regulars. there may need to be some sort of scrap linking across between the servers, where you get a proportion of scrap earned on one server is also added to your other account. (Tho you may want to do it at a 50% decrease in scrap, after the scrap conversion between the 2 servers has been applied), cause currently all the 200+ lvl regulars on gensis have no motive to go to main with no iven and basically be a lvl 1 again
